Why this logo 🦙💜?

I'm exhausted… 😮‍💨

Not a single day goes by without someone stopping me in the street to ask about the meaning of the VAINKEURZ logo 😬

Apparently the combo Purple llama + star smile + cross-eyed stare – it intrigues people!

Okay, now that the BS intro is done, I'll tell you everything and in a few lines, I promise, you'll be like:

1️⃣  Why did we choose a Llama?

It's a scientific choice first and foremost because – you probably already know this – but the human body automatically secretes dopamine when it sees a llama. We can't help it, it's in our DNA 🧬 to love llamas 🦙.

Have you ever met someone who told you "I don't like llamas"? Impossible. Or else they're confusing it with the alpaca which, that one, is the devil's creature 👹

Then, a choice of the heart – a llama is cool, it's gentle, it doesn't stress, it loves life on its mountain slope, it's trendy, it's hot and and and…

And above all, the llama has character. If you mess with it, it 💦 on you. Well we rarely get there on VAINKEURZ but still, make a few Tops with your friends (if you have any – otherwise join our Discord to make some) and you'll see that things can heat up fast when you don't agree on a vote⚡️.

2️⃣  Why does the Llama have that face?

If you have a good eye (hehe you'll get the reference soon 👀), you'll also have noticed that something's going on with the gaze 😝  it's seriously cross-eyed to say the least.

One eye looks to the left ⬅️ and the other to the right ➡️ The idea is to represent the act of voting, either you click on the left choice, or on the right one.

And in the middle of the face, you find this mouth with crooked teeth that expresses the dilemma you feel when you HAVE to vote between two contenders you love 💔

Basically, the two round eyes facing opposite directions represent the duels and when they're too intense, it makes you bug out and everything goes haywire in your mind like our Llama's teeth.

3️⃣  Why these colors?

Pink because – drumroll 🥁 – I like pink – dead serious – no joke – no argument – just I like pink 🐽

I admit it's not the craziest justification but we'll do better with purple – or not. So purple came about by deduction following these steps:

• What colors go well with hot pink?
  • blue – purple – black 👉 pretty dark colors then.
• Among these colors which one would form a duo with pink original enough to leave a mark?
  • purple 👉 QED

Let's add that from ages 10 to 18, I answered purple when asked my favorite color and Donatello when asked my favorite Ninja Turtle (check out my TopList if you don't believe me)

Sure, now I answer pink but I still keep purple as my answer when I want to preserve a bit of charisma.

So, what a joy for me to be able to work every day on a Pink and Purple project 🥰

Let's also note that there's no purple mammal in nature (ask Google if you don't trust me) which makes our logo even more unique just like the VAINKEURZ concept 🦙💜

Now that you know all this – sure our Llama is still just as weird, but at least you know why 🤗
