V2️⃣ is live 💜

We've been working on V2️⃣ for several months now.

Two key issues forced us to overhaul the site:

🐢 The site was getting slower and slower

Indeed, with the accumulation of data and VAINKEURZ's initial design, making TopLists was becoming pretty painful. Plus, certain functions weren't optimized to handle that much data and this caused bugs like the one affecting creators' KEURZ calculations.

🔥 Drawing inspiration from the Flammes site We took on the challenge of developing the flammesawwards site this spring. It was our code but above all VAINKEURZ's algorithm that allowed the jury to vote for their favorite artists. The site recorded over 10 million votes in 10 days. To handle that load we developed an API and used best practices that we hadn't used for VAINKEURZ.com Since it went so well for LesFlammes, we wanted to reuse that for the new version of VAINKEURZ.

So we built this new version around 3 pillars:

🤖 Technically, having developed an API and overhauled our storage system should guarantee a smooth site for the coming months and bug-free (bug hunt is on 🥶)

💜 Visually, we wanted to change the navigation to simplify it on one hand but also evolve the site's visual identity while keeping its purple DNA.

🤩 Functionally (not sure if that's the right word) but all that to say that beyond the tech and design, there are also new features like the ability to create Tops without being a creator, Rooms, the Commu space, the new Home…

We're going to roll out this new version in stages. So features like notifications will come back quickly along with other brand-new updates 🚀
