XP Points

The system we had in place at the start was getting confusing (yeah yeah we saw you being confused) because 💎KEURZ served as XP, currency and also payment for creators all at once.

We wanted to simplify things so now we have XP 🍄 which you earn this way:

• One vote ⚡️ = 1 🍄
• One completed TopList 🏆 = 5 🍄
• One trophy🎖earned = the corresponding gain in 🍄

XP 🍄 lets you advance through the different levels

For each 🍄 you earn the equivalent in 💎 which you can then spend in the Shop.
Note that you can also earn KEURZ by completing challenges we offer from time to time and by getting rewards.

Judgments

How many times have you come across a TopList that made you want to throw hands with its author? What, zero times? Come on, don't ruin my intro. #endofimaginarydialogue

So from now on you'll be able to judge all TopLists – whether to obliterate the choices made like here with Grat1n's disgusting TopList or on the contrary to make your most beautiful declaration of love 💜

We chose an axe as the symbol but it's not an invitation to chop up all the TopLists, and if you have a more suitable emoji suggestion, I'm down to see it because we weren't super inspired to be honest 🙃

The Watching Concept

You have friends on FB, followers on TW, subscribers on Insta and on VAINKEURZ you have – drumroll 🥁 – watchers!

Indeed, you can watch other vainkeurs to stay updated on the TopLists they make & it works both ways since you can also be watched 🧐.

If you watch a vainkeur who watches you back you become a duo 💏 and having such relationships, that's beautiful 😍.

Behold the DoDo

The dodo is a rare bird. So rare that there are none left.
Well that's not entirely accurate because guess what, the animal has made its comeback on VAINKEURZ.

And the concept is as follows 👉 there's only one dodo and it's the hottest 🔥 vainkeur of the last 7 days.

So we're talking about a 300💎KEURZ trophy that rewards the vainkeur who earned the most 🍄XP during the past week.

Notifications

I won't explain the concept of a notification but I'll list when you can receive one:

• Someone judged one of your TopLists
• Someone judged a TopList you judged
  
• A vainkeur you're watching completed a TopList
• A new vainkeur is watching you
  
• Someone commented on a Top you commented on
• Someone commented on a Top you created (this one only for creators)

Of course new notifications will be added soon but here at the time I'm writing this (11:29 PM in front of a Yo rerun – Tatoh commented by OGN) is the list of functional notifications.

Similarity Calculation

For this feature we had to summon the 🧠 of Staphylo. He's the gray matter of Team 🦙 and as soon as there are more than 3 unknowns in the equation, we feel obliged to call on him.

🧮 The initial problem was this: what formula to compare two TopLists in order to calculate the percentage of similarity?

⏱ The second problem: how to apply this formula to hundreds or even thousands of TopLists without it taking half a day?

Well listen, even though I think we can do better I think it's already pretty successful. We'll let you test it and tell us what you think 🤗
