What the community says

13030 duels later, ATTACK ON TITAN – OP 3 is still #1 in the Ultimate Anime Openings ranking, with Kaguya-sama: Love is War – OP 2 close behind.

The top of the ranking shows a tight race: just 19 ELO points separate ATTACK ON TITAN – OP 3 from Kaguya-sama: Love is War – OP 2, with CHAINSAW Man – OP 1 trailing by only 2 points at 1438 ELO. Black Clover – OP 10 and Oshi no Ko – OP 1 complete a tightly packed top 5, all within a 27-point range. The dominance of recent anime openings at the top reflects the community's clear preference for modern production values and memorable hooks. Meanwhile, the bottom reveals surprising choices: One Piece – OP 21 lands at rank 138 with 978 ELO, and Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo – OP 1 sits last at 874 ELO despite winning just 21% of its 174 duels, suggesting these entries failed to connect with voters despite their source material's popularity.

This ranking draws from 13030 duels across 25 players who evaluated 139 anime openings. The data reflects voting patterns as of 12 October 2026. Each duel asks a single question: what's the best opening of all time? The ELO system updates with every vote, ensuring the ranking evolves as more players weigh in. Whether you champion ATTACK ON TITAN – OP 3's commanding lead or believe another contender deserves the crown, your vote shapes the list. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
