115 ELO points separate Surfing Pikachu VMAX from Zacian V at the top of the Pokémon – Celebrations ranking, after 1302 duels.

Flying Pikachu VMAX claims the top spot with 1342 ELO points, winning 71% of its 41 duels. Its airborne counterpart leads Surfing Pikachu VMAX by just 25 points, but the real chasm appears between rank 2 and rank 3: Surfing Pikachu VMAX holds a commanding 115-point advantage over Zacian V, the sharpest drop in the ranking. Below the podium, three cards cluster tightly between 1196 and 1197 ELO, with Pikachu and Surfing Pikachu V nearly tied. The bottom tier tells a harsher story: Professor Oak languishes at rank 8 with 1044 ELO and a 28% win rate, suggesting the community favors dynamic action poses over static character portraits.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
