Strongest One Piece straw hats

Monkey D. Luffy leads the One Piece ranking with 1833 ELO points over 200 duels, ahead of Roronoa Zoro and Sanji.

The captain's dominance is emphatic: a 269 ELO gap separates Monkey D. Luffy from Roronoa Zoro at the top, the widest margin in the ranking. Luffy wins 95% of his duels, leaving no doubt about who the community considers the crew's strongest member. Zoro secures second place with 1564 ELO, while Sanji holds third at 1339 ELO. Jinbei follows closely at 1315 ELO, confirming the former Warlord's strength in the eyes of fans. At the bottom, Usopp sits last with 780 ELO and a 19% win rate, reflecting the self-proclaimed sniper's role as the crew's underdog rather than its powerhouse. Chopper ranks just above him at 925 ELO, while Nami takes eighth place with 961 ELO. The lower ranks suggest voters prioritize raw combat ability over strategic or support contributions.

This ranking draws on 1452 duels submitted by 71 players, comparing all 10 contenders in head-to-head matchups. The data was updated on 11 October 2026. VAINKEURZ builds these rankings from direct confrontations, letting the community decide through repeated choices rather than isolated votes. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
