Funniest One Piece straw hats

Monkey D. Luffy leads the One Piece ranking with 1541 ELO points over 231 duels, ahead of Sanji and Brook.

The podium reveals a clear divide in comic appeal among the Straw Hats. Luffy dominates with a commanding 218 ELO point lead over second-place Sanji, who registers 1323 points. This gap suggests the captain's unintentional humor and oblivious antics resonate far more than any other crew member's comedy style. Brook secures third at 1314 points, narrowly edging out Usopp by 33 points. The tight race between ranks 2 through 5 shows genuine debate over who delivers the best laughs beyond Luffy, while the bottom tier tells another story: Jinbe sits at 812 points with just a 20% win rate, indicating the disciplined helmsman struggles to land jokes in a crew packed with natural comedians.

This ranking draws from 1371 duels submitted by 63 players comparing all 10 Straw Hat Pirates, last updated on 11 October 2026. Luffy's 82% win rate confirms his status as the crew's unintended comic relief, though Sanji's 310 duels show he faces more direct comparisons than the captain. Whether you favor Luffy's rubber-brained logic, Sanji's lovestruck disasters, or Brook's skull jokes, VAINKEURZ lets you weigh in. Cast your votes in head-to-head duels and shape how the funniest Straw Hats stack up against each other.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
