Best One Piece characters

8488 duels later, Roronoa Zoro is still #1 in the One Piece ranking with 1858 ELO points, with Monkey D. Luffy close behind at 1793.

The sharpest gap sits between ranks 2 and 3, where 115 ELO points separate Monkey D. Luffy from Trafalgar D. Water Law. Roronoa Zoro edges out Luffy by 65 points to claim the top spot, a notable inversion given Luffy's status as the series protagonist. The swordsman's 1858 ELO confirms his grip on fan loyalty, while Shanks and Dracule Mihawk round out the top 5 with 1675 and 1657 points respectively. At the other end, Queen languishes at rank 50 with 1175 ELO and a 23% win rate, trailed only slightly by Charlotte Linlin at 1239. The bottom tier suggests that antagonists and recent additions struggle to match the affection reserved for core crew members and charismatic rivals.

This ranking draws from 8488 duels across 50 contenders, shaped by 10 players as of 11 October 2026. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
