Best Sound Five Naruto

194 ELO points separate Kimimaro from Tayuya at the top of the Naruto ranking, after 994 duels.

Kimimaro dominates with 1455 ELO points and an 84% win rate across 32 duels, establishing a commanding lead that sets him apart from the rest of the Sound Five. Tayuya holds second place at 1261 points, edging out Kidomaru by just 17 points in a much tighter contest for the podium. The ranking then drops more steeply: Sakon and Ukon trail at 1085 points, while Jirobo anchors the bottom with 956 points and a 22% win rate that suggests the community has little love for the brute strength member. The gap between first and second reflects Kimimaro's status as both the strongest fighter and the most compelling character among Orochimaru's elite guard, combining tragic backstory with devastating combat abilities that left a lasting impression despite his brief appearance.

This ranking draws from 994 duels cast by 153 players across 5 contenders, updated on 11 October 2026. The Sound Five may have been short-lived antagonists in the Sasuke Retrieval arc, but the debate over their appeal and fighting prowess continues years later. Each member brought distinct abilities and personality to the group, from Tayuya's aggressive flute techniques to Kidomaru's calculated spider jutsu. Cast your vote now and shape the hierarchy of Orochimaru's most loyal soldiers.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
