Best Dragon Ball soldiers

Gotenks' Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack leads the Dragon Ball minions ranking with 1320 ELO points over 39 duels, ahead of Cell Jr. and Saibamen.

The podium reveals a tight battle for supremacy among Dragon Ball's spawned fighters. Cell Jr. holds second place with 1279 ELO points, but a sharp 159-point gap separates it from Saibamen at rank 3, the largest divide in this ranking. Gotenks' playful yet devastating ghost technique claims the top spot with a 64% win rate, showing that fans remember the fusion's creative combat style as much as the raw menace of Cell's miniature offspring. At the bottom, Buu's Kamikaze Ghosts trail with 1105 ELO points despite facing the most duels at 46, suggesting the community distinguishes between Gotenks' original invention and Buu's later imitation of the same tactic. Saibamen, the earliest minions in the series, occupy the middle ground with 1120 ELO points and a 43% win rate.

This ranking draws from 619 duels cast by 143 players across 4 contenders, last updated on 10 October 2026. The tight ELO spread and balanced duel counts indicate that Dragon Ball fans recognize the strategic role of summoned fighters across different sagas, from the Saiyan invasion's disposable Saibamen to the Buu arc's ghostly kamikazes. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
