Best Alice in Borderland characters

100 ELO points separate Shuntarō Chishiya from Hikari Kuina at the top of the Alice in Borderland ranking, after 6830 duels.

Chishiya commands the podium with 1516 ELO points and an 81% win rate across 654 duels, establishing clear dominance over second-placed Kuina at 1416 points. Protagonist Ryōhei Arisu trails in third with 1338 ELO, while Rizuna Ann and Yuzuha Usagi complete the top 5. The gap between ranks 1 and 2 marks the sharpest division in the entire ranking. Chishiya's calculated brilliance resonates with voters far more than the series lead, a telling reflection of how strategic cunning outweighs heroic idealism in this fanbase. At the bottom, Chōta Segawa lingers at rank 12 with 960 ELO, narrowly behind Takatora Samura at 969 points, suggesting the community reserves its harshest judgment for characters perceived as passive or ineffectual.

This ranking emerges from 6830 duels cast by 243 players across 12 contenders, updated on 11 October 2026. Each vote refines the hierarchy, weighing charisma against competence and survival instinct against moral fiber. Cast your own duels on VAINKEURZ to shape the debate: does Chishiya's cold pragmatism deserve the crown, or should Arisu's determination claim higher ground? The next duel could shift the balance.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
