Best wow covenants

Venthyr wins 64% of its duels and tops the World of Warcraft Covenant ranking ahead of Kyrian.

A 57-point gap separates Venthyr from Kyrian at the top, the widest margin in the ranking and a testament to the Revendreth Covenant's dominance. Venthyr's decisive lead reflects strong player preference for its gothic aesthetic, utility, and narrative appeal in the Shadowlands endgame. Kyrian holds second place with 1225 ELO and a 56% win rate across 16 duels, demonstrating steady support for the Bastion faction despite trailing the leader. Necrolord sits at third with 1172 points and a near-even 47% win rate over 17 duels, showing competitive performance even in the middle of the pack. Night Fae trails at the bottom with 1127 ELO and a 36% win rate across 14 duels, suggesting the nature-themed Ardenweald Covenant struggles to secure player loyalty in direct matchups. The ranking reveals a clear hierarchy in Shadowlands allegiance, with the vampiric Venthyr commanding the field and the other three Covenants fighting for position.

This ranking draws from 387 duels cast by 82 players across all 4 Covenants, updated on 11 October 2026. The sample reflects active engagement with World of Warcraft's endgame systems, where Covenant choice shapes gameplay, power progression, and player identity. Whether you pledged your soul to the Venthyr court or remain loyal to another pact, cast your vote to influence the standings and see how your chosen Covenant fares against the rest of the Shadowlands.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
