Best The Quarry characters to save

Kaitlyn wins 53% of her duels and tops the The Quarry ranking ahead of Dylan, after 875 duels.

Kaitlyn holds the top position with 1283 ELO points, but Dylan trails by just 27 points at 1256, making this the tightest gap in the upper ranks. Ryan sits close behind at 1254, creating a compressed top three where survival preferences remain divided. Despite ranking fourth, Abigail posts the highest win rate at 59% across 22 duels, suggesting she resonates strongly when directly matched against other counselors. Laura rounds out the top five at 1230 ELO, having faced the most duels among the leaders with 28. At the bottom, the community clearly favors certain counselors over others: Nick languishes at 1077 ELO with a 32% win rate, while Max fares only slightly better at 1114 ELO and 36% wins, both trailing far behind the pack.

This ranking draws from 875 duels submitted by 47 players across all 9 playable counselors, last updated on 12 October 2026. Each duel asks which character players most want to see survive the night at Hackett's Quarry summer camp. The tight race at the top and the decisive gaps at the bottom reveal which counselors have earned the community's protective instincts and which face a tougher road to favor. Cast your vote in head-to-head matchups to shape the ranking and see how your survival priorities compare.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
