Best Persona 5 phantom thieves

979 duels later, Joker remains #1 in the Persona 5 ranking with 1442 ELO points, Queen close behind at 1282.

Joker dominates with a commanding 160-point lead over Queen, the largest gap in the ranking and a clear statement of the protagonist's appeal. This distance reflects more than narrative centrality: voters consistently favor Joker's versatility and style. Queen edges Panther by just 49 points for second place, while the mid-table tightens further down. Fox at fifth and Noir at sixth are separated by only 45 points, suggesting these Phantom Thieves generate more divided opinions. At the bottom, Mona trails at 1070 ELO despite appearing in 87 duels, a position that may surprise given the mascot's prominent role but speaks to the community's preference for human party members over talking cats.

This ranking draws from 979 duels cast by 73 players across 7 contenders, updated on 11 October 2026. Each matchup asks voters to choose their favorite Phantom Thief, building a collective portrait of how the fanbase values combat utility, character development and personal connection. Whether you champion the leader or root for an underdog further down the list, your vote shifts the standings. Head to the Persona 5 TopList and pick your side in the next duel.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
