Best Fortnite explosive weapons

788 duels later, Grenade Launcher is still #1 in the Fortnite explosive weapons ranking, with Rocket Launcher close behind.

Grenade Launcher wins 78% of its duels and holds 1332 ELO points, 16 points ahead of Rocket Launcher at 1316. The sharpest drop appears between ranks 3 and 4, where Guided Missile edges out Kit's Shockwave Launcher by 64 ELO points. Rocket Launcher proves a reliable runner-up with 24 duels played, the highest volume at the top. At the bottom of the ranking, Proximity Grenade Launcher, TNTina's Boom Bow and Plasma Cannon cluster within 7 ELO points of each other, all scoring between 1121 and 1128. The tight spread suggests these three weapons split the community rather than dominate it.

The ranking draws on 788 duels judged by 53 players across 11 contenders, updated on 12 October 2026. Boom Bow holds the fifth spot with 1212 ELO and a 53% win rate over 19 duels. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
