Best Fortnite chapters

Chapter 2 wins 60% of its duels and tops the Fortnite ranking ahead of Chapter 1.

Chapter 2 edges out Chapter 1 by 22 ELO points at the summit, though the original chapter claims a higher win rate at 70%. The sharpest divide appears between Chapter 3 and Chapter 4, where 85 ELO points separate third from fourth place. This gap marks a clear split in community preference, with the first three chapters holding strong positions while later entries struggle to match their appeal. At the bottom, Chapter 2 REMIX sits in last place with 1125 ELO points, suggesting that remixes and revivals fail to capture the magic of their source material. The OG Chapter, positioned just above at rank 6, fares only marginally better.

This ranking draws on 354 duels submitted by 29 players across 7 contenders, with the data updated on 12 October 2026. Each duel pits two chapters against one another, and every choice refines the ELO scores that determine these positions. How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
