Best Age of Empires 2 players

1208 duels later, JorDan_AoE is still #1 in the Age of Empires 2 ranking, with TheViper close behind.

JorDan_AoE edges out TheViper by just 5 ELO points at the top, holding 1358 points after 45 duels against 1353 for TheViper. The tightest margin at the summit contrasts with the sharpest drop in the ranking: 60 ELO points separate TheViper from Liereyy at rank 3. TheViper wins 68% of duels while Liereyy sits at 58%, a gap that translates into a clean divide between the top two and the rest of the field. Margougou at rank 4 with 1284 points and DauT at rank 5 with 1270 points complete a top tier that pulls away from the lower ranks. At the bottom, Capoch registers a 28% win rate over 36 duels, the lowest figure among the ranked players, while Dogao and TheMax occupy ranks 17 and 16 with win rates of 35% and 31%.

The ranking draws on 1208 duels and 27 players across 18 contenders, updated on 12 October 2026. The volume of votes gives weight to the standings, though gaps remain wide enough to suggest shifts are possible. Cast your own vote to shape the next update and see whether JorDan_AoE holds the lead or TheViper closes the 5-point margin.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
