Best Futurama characters

1600 duels later, Bender remains #1 in the Futurama ranking with 1536 ELO points, Leela trailing at 1370.

The gap at the top tells the story: 166 ELO points separate Bender from Leela, the widest margin in the entire ranking. Bender dominates with a 91% win rate across 23 duels, proving his appeal extends beyond mere bending and thievery. Leela holds second place with 70% over 30 duels, while Fry claims third at 1333 points with a 59% win rate over 27 duels. Zoidberg surprises at fourth with 1316 points and a 65% win rate across 31 duels, suggesting the lobster doctor has more fans than his perpetual poverty might suggest. Farnsworth rounds out the top five at 1203 points. The bottom reveals the community's harder judgments: Scruffy lands at #10 with just 961 ELO points and a 17% win rate over 24 duels, making him the least favored character. Brannigan sits just above at 1004 points, while Hermes occupies eighth place at 1055 points.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
