The Purge: Anarchy wins 58% of its duels and tops The Purge ranking ahead of The First Purge.

The Purge: Anarchy holds the #1 spot with 1265 ELO points, edging out The First Purge by just 5 points. The original film, The Purge, sits at #3 with 1238 ELO, while The Purge: Election Year follows at #4 with 1231 ELO. The most striking divide appears between ranks 4 and 5: a 225-point chasm separates The Purge: Election Year from The Forever Purge, which sits at the bottom with 1006 ELO and a 0% win rate across 9 duels. This brutal gap suggests the community draws a clear line between the franchise's core entries and its final installment.

The ranking draws from 362 duels submitted by 51 players across 5 contenders, updated 12 October 2026. The tight margins at the top—particularly the 5-point gap between ranks 1 and 2—indicate fans remain divided over which Purge film delivers the most compelling vision of lawless chaos. The Forever Purge's isolation at the bottom, winless and far behind, speaks to a decisive community verdict. Cast your vote to shape the ranking and push your favorite higher, or join the debate over which installment best captures the franchise's dystopian premise.

How this ranking is computed

Every duel won lifts a contender and every loss drops them, by an amount that depends on the opponent's strength: beating the leader is worth more than beating the last. It is an ELO, the same principle as in chess. Duels are not drawn at random — an adaptive entropy sort puts the least predictable match-ups first, which settles the ranking far faster than a full round robin. A worldwide ranking is only published past 30 completed plays. Known limit: a contender who has faced few opponents keeps an approximate score, and the bottom of the table moves more than the podium.
