V2️⃣ is live 💜

It’s been several months since we started working on V2️⃣.

Two observations led us to make significant changes to the website:

🐢 The site was getting slower and slower

In fact, with the growing volume of data and VAINKEURZ original design, it was becoming quite difficult to generate TopList. Furthermore, certain features weren’t optimized to handle such large amounts of data, which led to bugs—such as those affecting the calculation of creators’ KEURZ scores.

🔥 Inspired by the Flammes website We took on the challenge of developing the Flammes Awards website this spring. It was our code, but more importantly, it VAINKEURZ algorithm VAINKEURZ allowed the jury to vote for their favorite artists. The site recorded over 10 million votes in 10 days. To handle this load, we developed an API and used best practices that we hadn’t used for VAINKEURZ.com. Since it went so well for LesFlammes, we wanted to reuse it for the new version of VAINKEURZ.

We therefore based the development of this new version on three key areas:

🤖 Technically speaking, having developed an API and overhauled our storage system should ensure that our site runs smoothly and bug-free for the coming months (the bug hunt is on 🥶)

💜 Visually, we wanted to revamp the navigation to make it simpler, while also updating the site’s visual identity—all while keeping its signature purple look.

🤩 Functionally speaking (not sure if that’s the right word), but what I’m getting at is that beyond the tech and design, there are also new features like the ability to create Top lists without being a creator, Rooms, the Commu space, the new Home…

We’ll be rolling out this new version in phases. So features like notifications will be back soon, along with some brand-new updates 🚀
