You've been waiting for it (or not), but here it is: the VAINKEURZ world ranking of Fire Force's favorite characters. After just under 10,000 votes collected online, here's the community verdict: 10 iconic characters from the anime have risen to the top of this battle 🔥
But before we get to the crunchy top 10, we've got a quick update for you latecomers... 🔍
Fire Force: history and concept 🧯
Fire Force or En'en no Shōbōtai is a shōnen, written by Atsushi Ōkubo (And yes the one who also did Soul Eater). The story takes place in a world where spontaneous human combustion transforms people into monsters called Human Torches.
To counter this? A special unit of firefighters doped with sacred fire: the Fire Force.
But we're a long way from firefighters in yellow boots... Fire Force unleashes flames, stylish combat, lore and an atmosphere somewhere between apocalypse and steampunk.
The anime is currently in the middle of its final season, and it's one of the most popular of Spring 2025!

Beautiful, dangerous and cruel! Hibana is the captain of the 5ᵉ brigade. Manipulative, but also powerful and stylish with her fiery flowers.
Vulcan Joseph🔧
Vulcan is the guy in the workshop who comes up with the craziest inventions while everything else is burning. Our dear mechanic takes 9th place here
Akitaru Obi💪
No powers? No problem. Captain Obi is the strongest normal human we know. Just sweat, cast iron, and a sense of duty that would make anyone tremble!
Tamaki Kotatsu🐱
Quite a controversial character, but she's a real fighter when she stops running into shirtless people. Her popularity rises and falls like her dignity, but hey... you put her 7ᵉ
ShoKusakabe❄️
Shō, Shinra's little brother, he's classy, badass. Period.
ArthurBoyle⚔️
Arthur is the guy who gets stronger when he believes in his sword-king delusion. Totally out of touch, but ultra-stylish in battle. 5th place.
Joker🃏
Joker, he's the kind of guy who pops up, smokes a fag, blows up a boss, drops a punchline and disappears into the smoke he deserves his 4ᵉ place.
Muscles, magic and Maki marshmallows, she's the brute with the tender heart, but beware she hates being called de Gorilla... She comes in 3rd! 🦍
The real hero. And his smile is frightening, he was compared as a monster at the beginning but now he's a real hero. 😈
Benimaru manages two types of flame, lives on the bangs of the system, and beats everyone up at the slightest provocation. Charisma, power, attitude: you name it, he's your #1. And honestly? He deserves it 🔥🔥
In short, the finalists are, to say the least, not surprising! We find Maki, Shinra and Benimaru on the podium!
