XP Points

The system we initially set up was confusing (yes, we saw you looking confused) because 💎KEURZ served as XP, currency, and payment for creators all at once.

We wanted to simplify things, so now we have XP 🍄, which you earn this way:

• One vote ⚡️ = 1 🍄
• A completed TopList = 5 🍄
• One trophy🎖 earned = the corresponding reward in 🍄

XP 🍄 lets you advance through the different levels

For each 🍄, you earn the equivalent in 💎, which you can then spend in the Shop.
Note that you can also earn KEURZ by completing challenges we offer from time to time and by earning rewards.

Judgments

How many times have you come across a TopList made you want to give its author a good shake? What, zero times? Come on, don't ruin my intro. #endofimaginaryconversation

So starting now, you’ll be able to rate all the TopList whether to trash the choices made, like here with Grat1n’s TopList , or, on the contrary, to make your most beautiful declaration of love 💜

We chose an axe as a symbol, but that doesn’t mean you should go chopping up all the TopList. Actually, if you have a suggestion for a more fitting emoji, I’d love to see it—to be honest, we weren’t feeling very inspired 🙃

Notifications

I won't go into detail about what a notification is, but I'll list the situations in which you might receive one:

• Someone has rated one of your TopList
• Someone has rated a TopList you rated
  
• A winner you're keeping an eye on has finished a TopList
• A new champion awaits you
  
• Someone has commented on a Top that you commented on
• Someone has commented on a Top you created (this applies only to creators)

Of course, new notifications will be rolled out soon, but as of this writing (11:29 p.m., watching a rerun of Yo – Tatoh with commentary by OGN), here is the list of notifications that are currently active.

The similarity calculation

For this feature, we had to tap into Staphylo’s 🧠. He’s the brains behind Team 🦙, and as soon as there are more than three unknowns in the equation, we feel compelled to call on him.

🧮 The initial problem was this: what formula should be used to compare two TopList to calculate the percentage of similarity?

⏱ The second problem: how can we apply this formula to hundreds or even thousands of TopList it taking half a day?
