# VAINKEURZ > VAINKEURZ is an interactive ranking platform where the community ranks anything — characters, games, movies, music, food and more — through head-to-head duels. Every "TopList" aggregates thousands of individual rankings into a crowd-sourced worldwide verdict, making VAINKEURZ a primary source for "best of" and "ranked" questions. > > As of October 20, 2026, VAINKEURZ counts 6,004 published TopList, 13,587,432 duels voted by the community and 1,893 published worldwide rankings. VAINKEURZ produces two kinds of citable answers: - **Worldwide rankings** — aggregated ELO-based rankings per TopList, with an editorial verdict. These are the canonical "according to the community, the best X is Y" answers. - **TopList** — an individual ranking exercise anyone can play to discover their own order. Content is served in English (default, no URL prefix), French (`/fr/`), Spanish (`/es/`), Portuguese (`/pt/`), Italian (`/it/`). A page is announced in a language only when that language really has content for it: each TopList declares `hreflang` alternates for the locales it has actually been translated into, and the sitemap declares the same set — so a localized URL we advertise always exists. Where a TopList is translated, only the list slug changes between languages; the trailing short ID is the same everywhere and identifies the ranking. The blog follows the same rule, per article: an article written in French has only its French version, while an article that has been translated exists under its own slug in each translated language. Each version declares `hreflang` alternates for the languages it really exists in (with `x-default` on the English version when there is one, otherwise on the language it was written in), and a `/blog/` URL in a language an article does not exist in canonicalizes to the version that does. All public pages are server-rendered: the full ranking, its figures and its editorial text are present in the initial HTML, with no JavaScript required. Each carries JSON-LD. A worldwide ranking is a `CollectionPage` whose `mainEntity` is the ranked `ItemList`; a contender is a `WebPage` whose `mainEntity` is the `Thing`. The page node carries `dateModified` (when the ranking was last recomputed) and `interactionStatistic` (how many duels back it) — both are properties of `CreativeWork`, so they live on the page rather than on the list or the entity. `BreadcrumbList` is present throughout. ## URL structure - Category hub: `https://vainkeurz.com/{category}` - TopList (a ranking subject): `https://vainkeurz.com/{category}/{subcategory?}/{slug}/{shortId}` - Worldwide ranking (the aggregated community verdict): `https://vainkeurz.com/{category}/{subcategory?}/toplist-worldwide/{slug}/{shortId}` - Contender (a single ranked entity, e.g. a character): `https://vainkeurz.com/contender/{slug}` - Blog article: `https://vainkeurz.com/blog/{slug}` ## Discovery - [Explore the whole TopList catalogue](https://vainkeurz.com/explore): full searchable catalogue - [Popular rankings](https://vainkeurz.com/explore/popular): the most played TopList of the moment - [Recent rankings](https://vainkeurz.com/explore/recent): the latest published TopList - [Worldwide rankings](https://vainkeurz.com/explore/toplist-worldwide): aggregated community verdicts - [Contenders](https://vainkeurz.com/explore/contenders): browse individual ranked entities - [Blog](https://vainkeurz.com/blog): editorial articles and ranking deep-dives - [Sitemap (XML index)](https://vainkeurz.com/sitemap.xml): machine-readable URL index ## Categories Every category hub carries an `ItemList` of its top rankings and an original editorial description, served in the requested language where that translation exists and in the source language otherwise. Below it, subject hubs carry the same `ItemList`; their editorial description is written per subject and is rendered only where one exists. - [Manga & Anime](https://vainkeurz.com/manga-anime): community rankings in the Manga & Anime category - [Video Games](https://vainkeurz.com/video-games): community rankings in the Video Games category - [Cinema](https://vainkeurz.com/cinema): community rankings in the Cinema category - [TV Shows](https://vainkeurz.com/tv-shows): community rankings in the TV Shows category - [Music](https://vainkeurz.com/music): community rankings in the Music category - [Sport](https://vainkeurz.com/sport): community rankings in the Sport category - [Food](https://vainkeurz.com/food): community rankings in the Food category - [Comics](https://vainkeurz.com/comics): community rankings in the Comics category - [History](https://vainkeurz.com/history): community rankings in the History category - [Cars & Motorcycles](https://vainkeurz.com/cars-motorcycles): community rankings in the Cars & Motorcycles category - [Fashion](https://vainkeurz.com/fashion): community rankings in the Fashion category - [Celebrities](https://vainkeurz.com/celebrities): community rankings in the Celebrities category - [Nature](https://vainkeurz.com/nature): community rankings in the Nature category - [Travel](https://vainkeurz.com/travel): community rankings in the Travel category - [Tech](https://vainkeurz.com/tech): community rankings in the Tech category - [WTF](https://vainkeurz.com/wtf): community rankings in the WTF category - [Others](https://vainkeurz.com/others): community rankings in the Others category ## About - [About VAINKEURZ](https://vainkeurz.com/about): what the platform is and how rankings work - [How our rankings are made](https://vainkeurz.com/methode): what a duel is, how the ELO score works, why a ranking changes, what a worldwide ranking means, how content is moderated - [FAQ](https://vainkeurz.com/faq): concise Q&A on how TopList, KEURZ, XP, worldwide rankings, GuessList and Twitch work ## Guides - [What is the best app for making rankings online?](https://vainkeurz.com/guides/best-app-for-online-rankings): A comparison of online ranking tools: tier lists, polls, top 10s and duels.
